The department of “Beauty on the Bike” WANTS YOU!

VBIKE holds the secret recipe to obtaining Gorgeous Girl Muscle! Let’s face it… Cyclists have the most notorious killer legs.

Many women are curious about riding, but the bike is a mystery.
We at VBIKE are about making cycling for women more inclusive. Biking is and has always been gender neutral…
It’s only the introduction of Lycra to blame for the misinterpreted division!

Our cycling workouts are specifically designed to build your “aerobic" endurance.
Building your “aerobic engine” will drive weight loss, better health, increased fitness and not to mention optimal performance.

Still feeling a little shy?

At VBIKE workouts are based on your ability to do the best you can do, while listening to your body, you don’t have to worry about anyone else.
It's only a myth to think that everyone will be looking at you. I hate to break it to your narcissist self, but no one’s watching
except the instructor to make sure you’re working hard and you're ok.

You're now thinking  … sounds great but I first need to lose some weight and get a little fitter.
Wrong!
Weight and fitness levels do not minimize any accomplishments or effort that you put in.

You will gain confidence, skill level, and increased self-esteem in accomplishing something positive and productive.

Feeling a little keener to have a go?

It’s no surprise most of us are time poor, our life style demands we micro manage our days. Whilst we achieve a lot it comes at a cost, tiredness and fatigue being top of the list.

Studies have shown cycling to improve energy levels by 20% and decrease fatigue by 65%.
How?
Cycling triggers your brain to release the neurotransmitter Dopamine that is linked to energy.

There is no need to ride hard to harness this perk. Pedalling at a moderate speed 3 times a week will fight fatigue best.

VBIKE caters for all levels of cycling ability and discipline, because your workout is based on your own personal power output. You get an individual workout in a group setting. This is not to be confused with a Spin Class, but a scientific workout based on watts…... the power you produce riding your own bike on our Wahoo\Compu Trainer.

How do I get started?

Ok, I’ve left the sometimes-confusing part to the end. However, that said... it was more than likely designed by a “Bloke” so I guess it takes a woman to simplify it.

Before getting started on the bike it is essential you do a Free FTP Test - but there is no pass or fail.
Phew!
It’s simply used as a baseline to measure your training, and how your body responds to different types of cycling workouts.

What the hell is an FTP?

I have since renamed it… Fabulous Time in Pain!  (for good humor.)   Don’t tell Jianni!

Imagine peddling away listening to Jianni ‘s favorite 80’s party mix hits! In front of you is a large screen showcasing some of the most stupendous New Zealand rides and scenery.

Around your chest… below the boob… is a non-invasive heart rate monitor. The screen ahead displays your name and your data being calculated, this helps you to track your performance and stay focussed.

What's Happening in the cycle studio?

During every session your ride is customised to your current fitness level (aka FTP) so your always pushing yourself just the right amount, and everyone rides to their own level. Your cycling performance is also measured in watts and calorie loss.

At the completion of your session this data will automatically be sent to your email. Session after session you will be able to check your performance and improvements-however your body’s visual will be the best tell tale.

It’s all a bit confusing but don’t expect all of this to make sense until you experience it. The best way to understand is to book your Free Intro, and come in to try it out yourself. You can even complete your Free Intro with a friend, so you don’t have to go it alone.

Your personal comfort is not only important for your overall well-being, its essential for a good workout. That’s why we’re introducing women’s only group class…

Join us at 9.30am weekdays and 11:00am Saturdays.

If you haven’t been in before, book your Free Intro to get started  - or download the info Pack.  If you have any questions give us a call on 09 215 2136 or drop us an email at info@vbike.co.nz

It’s time to give the bike a go…
